1. Course users are eligible to attend a monthly mock exam with our medical actor. Each mock exam contains four SCA cases with 30-minutes of personalised feedback. There is an additional cost of £250 per mock exam. Spaces are limited and will only be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration to the course does not guarantee access to a mock exam.

2. We have a library of six themed SCA sessions that were held from August 2024 to January 2025. Each session contains ten cases that have been performed by trainees and a medical actor. During the sessions our educator provides feedback and case discussion as well as education on each theme.

How does WellMedic support GP trainees with their MRCGP SCA preparation?

The MRCGP SCA is your final hurdle before qualifying as an independent GP, and for many, it’s a daunting experience.

We appreciate that you are an experienced doctor, and you do not need to be spoonfed and retaught how to consult patients, we do not provide formulaic “copy-cat” sentences and phrases that could be easily detected from experienced examiners! How long do I get access for?

Six months or Twelve months, depending on the package you register for.

Can I cancel at any time?

You pay upfront for access; once you access the course content, you are no longer eligible for a refund.

Is the course pre-recorded or delivered on set dates?

You will have access to your pre-recorded course at all times. This is flexible and available at all times. There is no specified time commitment needed for you to take this course.

How is the pre-recorded course delivered?

The course is delivered across video and PDF lessons. The course is extensive and has over forty hours of video content.

It covers multiple elements of consulting theory, GP trainee examples, GP educator examples, SCA cases and much more!

Do I have to subscribe if I am an existing user of your coaching programme?

If you are a coaching user, you will not have to pay the course fee as this will included within your coaching package until you pass the SCA exam.

I’m using this course programme, but I would like to upgrade to the coaching, how does it work and is there a discount?

Firstly, it’s great that you are thinking of the coaching programme. It’s a one-to-one programme built to help trainees make iterative changes to their consulting techniques with very regular practice.

If you would like to upgrade, visit the coaching page and complete the registration form, which includes a £20 deposit.

Our team will review the request and availability for coaching spaces. Depending on availability, we will create a bespoke pricing plan for you based on your existing subscription payments.

What is your mock exam, and how do I sign up for this?

Our mock exams are different as we use experienced medical actors.

We run a monthly mock exam for seven candidates.

Each candidate will run four cases (case – 4 x 12 minutes and reading – 4 x 3 minutes)

Cases will be realistic of the MRCGP SCA as already highlighted in our SCA feedback videos from GP trainees.

How can I access the WellMedic clinical notes?

Our WellMedic clinical notes are a new feature that we have developed for release in August 2024. The clinical notes have been developed by GPs using primary knowledge resources to help summarise the key features of the topic.

The SCA is a clinical exam, and you will be expected to make a diagnosis and provide evidence-based management. The case notes will help you achieve this. Hundreds of summaries to ensure you are not overlooking the clinical element of the exam.
